About the Event

I strongly believe that women were never meant to walk the road of motherhood alone, we are meant to support each other on this journey. Unfortunately not everyone naturally has a supportive community around them. I myself am raising my children far from family and familiar culture, and this has thought me I need to make that extra effort to create community and support for myself and for others. When we connect we can learn from each other's successes and mistakes, and we can lend each other an ear to listen and a shoulder to lean on. 

For a long time I've been wanting to facilitate a safe circle for mamas to come together to safely talk and share experiences. Since the world is still somewhat upside down, I figured that for everyone's safety and convenience it is currently best to do this online. So we will meet via Zoom for this Mama Sharing Circle, this way you can join from wherever you are and we can connect and suppport each other regardless of the state of the world.

This is my first time hosting this space, but it is my wish that it will become a regular get together over time, and that we can develop and adapt the content and set up based on everyone's feedback. This sharing circle is open both for mamas who still have their baby inside their belly, and for mamas who already gave birth.

What to expect: 

Topic of the day: The Fourth Trimester (the first three months after birth)

15:00-15:15 Meet and greet 

  • Introduce yourself and where you are at in your motherhood journey 

15:15-15:45 Tips and lessons for the fourth trimester

  • If you already gave birth: Prepare to share two things which helped you during those first days/weeks/months, and two things which you wish you had known before, or wish you had done differently
  • If you're still pregnant: Prepare two questions you have regarding the postpartum period

15:45-16:00 Grounding Relaxation exercise 

  • If time allows and everyone is up for it, we will finish the session with a short relaxation/guided imagery script based on HypnoBirthing to help us release tension and feel more grounded and relaxed. 

Participation is free of charge, just bring yourself and an open mind. Please do register in advance, so that I know how many will join. Once you fill in your details, the Zoom-link will be emailed to you. 

Note, this is a safe place to share and connect where we don't judge each other's choices and opinions.
